Alternative Home Energy

We need a new mindset to encourage people to start conserving electricity and find alternative home energy sources. We need to become smart users of this precious commodity that most of us take for granted. No longer should we scream at the kids to turn that light off. We should educate them on why they should shut off the light. We need to be more aware of using electricity between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm. Do we really need to wash the dishes right after dinner? We should wait until after 9pm to wash them and all showers and baths should be taken during these off peak hours. Lights need to be turned off during daylight hours. Open those curtains and let the sun shine in!! Besides saving money, it's gonna make you feel pretty good just by seeing that sun shine. Solar lights can be put outside to take the place of standard porch lights. They are more expensive, but will pay for themselves over time.
Too much is at stake relying on foreign countries to supply our fuel needs. We need to lower the demand for foreign oil, and in turn, become the land of the free again. We can no longer continue to be held hostage by these foreigners who hate who we are and what we stand for. Bring jobs back into our own country by producing solar energy plants. We must declare our Independence Day. The fuel that is left in this earth will not last indefinitely. We have reached the peak of production. It is all downhill from here. We must get ready for the future now and save our children. Imagine what life will be like without gasoline or oil. What will happen to this great country of ours if we could no longer get this precious commodity. I remember the late seventies when there was a gasoline shortage. People could only get five gallons at one time. There were long lines at the gas stations. People were hoarding their gas in fify-five gallon drums. President Jimmy Carter tried in vain to warn us what was going to happen. The message was so dark and bleak, we voted him right out of office. Energy conservation and research was put on the back burner during the Reagan years.
So America, let's start conserving now. Awareness is the key to our success. We can all do our small part and make a big difference. Let's look for alternative home energy solutions and pave the way for the future of our children.
